Sculpted Furniture
Every sculpted piece begins with an appreciation for the character already present in the wood. Rather than forcing the material into a predetermined shape, I spend time studying each board, allowing its grain, color, and figure to influence the final design. My goal is to create furniture that is both beautiful to look at and deeply satisfying to use.
Inspired by Sam Maloof
The work of Sam Maloof forever changed the way I viewed furniture. His sculpted chairs demonstrated that strength, comfort, and elegance could exist together in flowing forms that invite both the hand and the eye. While every craftsman develops his own voice, his philosophy continues to influence the way I approach shaping wood today.

Costa Rican Rocking Chair
Built while living in Costa Rica, this rocking chair represents the beginning of my journey into sculpted furniture. Inspired by the work of Sam Maloof, it reflects my desire to create furniture that is both comfortable and inviting. Every curve was shaped by hand with the hope that it would encourage moments of quiet reflection and rest.
Rocking Chair in Walnut
A sculpted rocking chair in walnut brings together graceful movement, comfort, and the natural richness of the wood. The flowing arms, shaped seat, and continuous curves reflect the influence of the Maloof tradition, while the deep color and distinctive grain of walnut give each chair its own individual character.
A Painted Expression
This painted rocker offers a different expression of the same sculpted form. Layers of red and black milk paint create depth and character, allowing subtle hints of the underlying color to emerge naturally with time and use. A Danish oil topcoat protects the surface while preserving the quiet, hand-finished quality of the piece.
High Back Dinning Chair
A sculpted high-back dining chair with a graceful silhouette and strong presence at the table. Hand-shaped curves, a contoured seat, and flowing lines reflect the influence of the Maloof tradition while allowing the natural character of the wood to remain at the center of the design.

Cradle Rocker
The cradle rocker brings together the gentle movement of a traditional rocking chair with a sculpted cradle designed to keep parent and child close. Flowing curves, hand-shaped details, and the natural character of the wood give the piece both warmth and presence, creating furniture meant not only to be used, but to become part of a family’s story.
Available by commission, each cradle rocker can be crafted in a selection of hardwoods and built as a lasting piece to be enjoyed for generations.

Commissions are welcomed for those seeking an original piece created for their home and the way they live.
